Is Mirror Acrylic right for my project?
Mirror Acrylic is a useful choice where you want a reflective decorative surface in a lightweight acrylic sheet.
It is particularly suited to signage, displays, decorative wall features, shopfitting, exhibitions, events, point-of-sale displays and fabricated interior features.
Mirror Acrylic is not the same material as a conventional glass mirror. Its appearance and finished reflection can be influenced by sheet flatness, the supporting surface and the installation method.

Don't need a full sheet? Gold Mirror Panels are available
If you need Gold Mirror Acrylic but don't require a complete 2440 × 1220mm sheet, we also stock Gold Mirror Acrylic Panels in convenient standard sizes.
These can be a more practical option for smaller signage, decorative, display and creative projects.
Silver Mirror is currently supplied through this full-sheet product rather than as a separate standard panel range.
Custom cut-to-size Mirror Acrylic
Warlond Plastics can provide custom cut-to-size Gold and Silver Mirror Acrylic for suitable projects.
Send us the required finish, dimensions and quantity and we can quote the material and cutting.
Depending on the project, Mirror Acrylic can be processed by panel saw, CNC router or CNC laser.
Can Mirror Acrylic be laser cut?
Yes. Mirror Acrylic can be CNC laser cut for suitable projects.
Laser cutting can be useful for shapes, lettering, profiles, decorative features and other components where more than a straight rectangular cut is required.
The reflective backing must be handled carefully during fabrication because damage to the rear surface can affect the finished mirror appearance.
CNC routing and machining Mirror Acrylic
Mirror Acrylic can also be CNC routed for suitable applications.
CNC routing may be used for profiles, holes and other machined features where appropriate.
Care must be taken to protect the mirrored rear surface during handling, machining and finishing.
Installing Mirror Acrylic & choosing an adhesive
Mirror Acrylic requires care during installation because the reflective appearance relies on the metallised mirror backing.
Do not assume that an adhesive suitable for ordinary Acrylic is automatically suitable for Mirror Acrylic.
The customer or installer should confirm directly with the adhesive or mounting-system manufacturer that the chosen product is specifically compatible with acrylic mirror and metallised mirror backing.
Thick beads, isolated blobs or uneven applications of construction-type adhesive can also prevent the sheet from sitting evenly against the wall or substrate.
This can locally distort the Acrylic and result in uneven or warped reflections, sometimes producing a funhouse-mirror appearance.
The supporting surface should be flat, smooth and appropriate for the chosen installation method. The sheet should be supported evenly and should not be forced against an uneven surface.
Installation responsibility: Warlond Plastics supplies Mirror Acrylic sheet and does not provide installation services or approve individual adhesives, mounting systems, substrates or site conditions.
Selection of the adhesive, mounting system, preparation method and installation technique is the responsibility of the customer and/or installer.
Warlond Plastics cannot accept responsibility for damage to the mirror backing, distortion, uneven reflections, adhesion failure or other installation-related issues resulting from the chosen adhesive, mounting system, substrate, preparation or site conditions, to the extent permitted by law.
Always follow the adhesive or mounting-system manufacturer's instructions and test the proposed installation method on an offcut or inconspicuous area before completing the installation.
Handling the mirrored backing
The rear metallised surface is an important part of the Mirror Acrylic product and should be handled carefully.
Avoid scratching, scraping or contaminating the backing during storage, cutting, machining and installation.
Damage to the mirrored backing may become visible from the front of the sheet and can permanently affect the reflective appearance.
Drilling and fixing Mirror Acrylic
Mirror Acrylic can be drilled and mechanically fixed for suitable applications using appropriate Acrylic fabrication techniques.
Holes should be drilled cleanly with suitable tooling, and the installation should avoid excessive local pressure or overtightening.
Mechanical mounting arrangements should also allow the sheet to sit evenly against the supporting structure so the reflective surface is not distorted.
Mirror Acrylic vs glass mirror
Mirror Acrylic is primarily chosen where a lightweight, fabricated and decorative reflective panel is required.
