Is Clear Cast Acrylic right for my application?
Clear Cast Acrylic is an excellent choice where optical clarity, rigidity, surface finish, weather resistance and fabrication quality are important.
It is commonly used for signage, display cases, protective screens, glazing, retail displays, machine covers, marine windscreens, joinery and general fabricated components.
Where extremely high impact resistance or resistance to breakage is the main priority, Clear Polycarbonate may be more suitable.

Full Sheet Size, Collection & Delivery
Our standard Clear Cast Acrylic full sheet size is:
2440 × 1220mm
A range of thicknesses is available. Select your required thickness using the product options above to view current pricing and availability.
Important: full-size Acrylic Sheets do not include free delivery.
Due to their size, freight needs to be arranged separately. You have three options:
- Collect your order from Warlond Plastics in Hoppers Crossing, Melbourne.
- Arrange your own freight company to collect the order from us.
- Ask Warlond Plastics to quote freight. Provide the complete delivery address and we can investigate the appropriate freight option and provide a delivery quote.
If you do not require a full sheet, one of our standard Acrylic Panels or our custom cut-to-size service may be a more practical option.
Don't need a full sheet? Shop our standard Acrylic Panels
If you don't need a full 2440 × 1220mm sheet, Warlond Plastics also stocks a range of standard-size Acrylic Panels.
These are a convenient option for smaller projects and allow you to select from commonly requested panel sizes without purchasing a complete full sheet.
Need a size that isn't available in our standard panel range? We can also quote custom cut-to-size Clear Acrylic from our full sheets.
Need a larger 2440 × 1830mm Acrylic Sheet?
Larger-format 2440 × 1830mm Clear Cast Acrylic Sheets are also available.
If you require the larger sheet format, contact Warlond Plastics with the required thickness and quantity so we can confirm availability.
Larger-format sheets also do not include free delivery. Collection, customer-arranged freight or separately quoted freight will be required.
If you would like us to quote delivery, please provide the complete delivery address with your enquiry.
Custom cut-to-size Clear Acrylic
Warlond Plastics offers custom cut-to-size Clear Acrylic Sheet for commercial, industrial and DIY projects.
Send us the required thickness, finished dimensions and quantity and we can quote the material and cutting.
Depending on the project, Acrylic can be cut using our panel saw, CNC router or CNC laser.
Can Warlond Plastics laser cut Clear Acrylic?
Yes. Clear Acrylic can be CNC laser cut for suitable projects.
Laser cutting is particularly useful for profiles, shapes, holes, lettering and components where a clean finished edge is important. The laser can produce a polished-style edge on many Acrylic cuts.
Laser suitability depends on sheet thickness, geometry, quantity and the required finished result.
CNC routing and machining Clear Acrylic
Clear Acrylic is well suited to CNC routing and machining.
Depending on the project, CNC machining can be used for profiles, holes, slots, pockets, countersinks, bevels and other features that cannot be produced by simple straight cutting.
Sharp tooling, suitable feeds and good workholding are important for controlling heat and achieving a good finished edge.
Can Clear Acrylic be heated, bent or thermoformed?
Yes. Clear Cast Acrylic is a thermoplastic and can be heated and thermoformed for suitable fabrication projects.
It can be line bent or formed into more complex shapes using controlled heating techniques.
Sheet thickness, bend radius, heating temperature and heating uniformity all affect the finished result.
Acrylic should not be forced into a tight cold bend in the same way that Polycarbonate can be gently cold curved. Tight Acrylic bends normally require controlled heating.
Technical properties
Typical technical properties for the Clear Cast Acrylic material supplied by Warlond Plastics include:
| Material | Cast PMMA Acrylic |
|---|---|
| Light transmission | Approximately 92% - Clear |
| Relative density | 1.19 g/cm³ |
| 3mm sheet weight | Approximately 3.57 kg/m² |
| Gauge tolerance | ±0.4mm |
| Tensile strength | 70 MPa |
| Flexural strength | 116 MPa |
| Typical service temperature | Up to approximately 80°C |
| Vicat softening temperature | >110°C |
These values are typical material properties and should not be treated as finished-part design limits. Suitability depends on sheet thickness, loading, fabrication method and service conditions.
How should Clear Acrylic be cleaned?
For routine cleaning, use warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
Avoid abrasive pads or harsh cleaners that can scratch or damage the Acrylic surface.
Where a chemical cleaner is being considered, check compatibility with Acrylic before use.
Can Clear Acrylic Sheet be glued?
Yes. Acrylic can be bonded using suitable Acrylic cement systems, and Warlond Plastics stocks SCIGRIP WELD-ON 3 and WELD-ON 16.
Joint fit, fabrication stress, adhesive quantity and finished appearance should all be considered when bonding Acrylic.
Acrylic vs Polycarbonate — which should I choose?
Both materials are clear thermoplastics, but they have different strengths.
